What bothers me currently in my country South Africa is the fact that even with the Bill of Rights and our wonderful constitution, there is an attack on freedom of speech. This we see especially on social media. This has led to the shutting down of debates and as a result, some do feel they have no right to say what they want in the social media space. It is worrying! I just refuse to be bullied into silence by others. I consider myself an agent of freedom, because liberty/freedom makes sense to me. I'm fully aware of where we have come from as a country and where we want to be, even when politics get in the way at times. So, to play my part I advocate for freedom not only for myself, but all those I interact with in real or virtual spaces.
