Freedom is the right to express our ideas, point of views and opinions freely. It means speaking, writing, and researching - but without intentionally harming other people’s existence, belief, tradition or choice of religion. However this vital human right is often restricted- especially when it comes to harassment of journalists and authors, censorship or crackdowns on minorities raising their voice against the majority’s opinions.
Freedom is especially important to me, as I’m researching on the quality of Engineering Education in Myanmar. I believe that we need to promote the right to work without the threat of violence, to ensure the right to individual freedom. Freedom is absolutely essential to data analysis and to the progress of the system that leads to the development of our nation.
